How I Can Help

Sports injuries can happen suddenly, or build up gradually when the body is repeatedly asked to do more than it can comfortably manage. This may be through sport, exercise, hillwalking, running, gym work, or simply being active in day-to-day life.

Sometimes the injury itself is clear, but the reason it happened is less obvious. Strength, mobility, timing, balance, coordination, previous injuries, fatigue and how the body manages load can all influence how well an injury settles and whether it keeps coming back.

At InnerBalance Physiotherapy, I look at what has been injured, but also at what may have made that area more vulnerable to strain. Assessment may include muscle testing, joint mobility, movement control, soft tissue restrictions, strength, flexibility, and the demands of the activity you want to return to.

Treatment may include hands-on therapy, soft tissue techniques, movement re-education, strengthening, advice and graded exercises. The aim is to support recovery, improve how your body responds to the demands of the activity, and help you to return to movement with more ease and confidence.
