How I Can Help
Persistent or chronic pain can be exhausting, especially when it has been present for a long time or when previous treatment has only helped for a short period. It can begin to affect how you move, how much you trust your body, and how confident you feel in day-to-day life.
When pain becomes persistent, it is often not as simple as one injured structure or cause. The body may have adapted around old injuries, surgery, trauma, illness, stress or patterns of tension that have developed over time. Sometimes the original problem has settled, but the body is still holding on to protective or compensatory patterns.
At InnerBalance Physiotherapy, I take time to listen carefully to your story and to look for the deeper patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms. This may involve working with joints, muscles, fascia, the nervous system, scars or the connective tissue around organs, depending on what feels more relevant to your presentation.
Treatment is adapted to your individual needs and may include gentle hands-on therapy, movement advice and exercises where appropriate. The aim is to help your body find a way forward, easing restriction and improving freedom through the tissues so that movement feels more comfortable and natural again.
